Ricci Amitrano is a multi-disciplinary artist and researcher based in upstate New York. They received their BFA from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in 2023, where they were the recipient of  a full tuition scholarship, and the Snarkitecture Commencement prize. Amitrano’s work has been shown at several group shows in New York City, and one solo show at the Cooper Union. In 2023, they were an Artist in Residence at Art Letters and Numbers in New York. Amitrano’s design and editorial work has been featured in  US and international publications including Blank Forms Journal, SPASM Magazine, and Veilance Magazine. They have provided studio support to artists such as Fia Backström and Carole Feuerman, aiding in the creation of work that has been displayed in the Medici Museum, the Museum of Sex, Art Basel, and the Paris 2024 Olympics. Amitrano has worked as a Program Administrator, Graphic Designer, and Instructor within Cooper Union’s continuing education department from 2022 until just recently, when they focussed their efforts toward creating the time and resources to pursue their studio practice.
